Giving to JNFSC
As a Hong Kong registered charity and tax exempt legal entity, the Foundation has been from the very beginning operating without any administrative staff and is sustained by directors on a pro bono basis. Donations from benefactors have been strictly for scholarly activities, professorship endowments, and student scholarships. All foundation administrative expenses are derived from regular internal donations by directors.
Donations from the U.S. to JNFSC are also tax deductible if channelled via Give2Asia, an IRS approved 501C (3) funding agencies.
Benefactors can consider the following 3 main areas fully described under the PROGRAMS:

Endowed Joseph Needham Professorship in the Chinese History, Science and Technology, including the naming right of JN – name of the benefactor*.

Endowed Joseph Needham PhD Graduate Fellowship at Cambridge University or designated global research institution*.
